Solenne Small Halo Alabaster Wall Light - Matt Black

The Solenne Small Halo is a 150mm circular wall light pairing a softly domed natural Spanish alabaster disc with a matt black backplate. The alabaster sits proud of the wall on an 80mm projection, with the dark backing exposed around the edge to form a halo outline. A single G9 lamp socket sits behind the stone, lighting the alabaster from within so the disc itself becomes the visible light source.

Designed as accent and ambient lighting rather than task light, the Solenne suits hallway runs, stairwell walls, bedside positions and either side of a bathroom mirror or living room artwork. The compact 150mm diameter means pairs or trios can be installed at close centres without crowding the wall, and the integrated backplate covers a standard UK round wall box. Hard-wired to mains, with the G9 lamp accessed from behind the alabaster disc.

The body combines solid copper internals with natural Spanish alabaster, so each disc shows different veining, tonal variation and translucency depending on the section of stone it was cut from. The smooth polished face carries soft ivory and warm beige patterning that becomes more visible when the lamp is on, with deeper veins appearing as faint shadows within the glow. The matt black backplate gives a clean architectural edge that defines the circle and contrasts the warm light against the wall.

What bulb does the Solenne take?

The wall light uses a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). A warm-white G9 LED at around 2700K-3000K matches the natural tone of the alabaster and produces the softest glow through the stone.

Does each piece of alabaster look the same?

No. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, ivory and beige tonal variation, and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No IP rating is listed for this fitting, so it should be installed in dry interior locations only and not within bathroom zones. For mirror-side wall lighting in a bathroom, use a fitting with a stated IP44 or higher rating.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the disc gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, which can mark or dull the surface over time.
