Solmira 1 Light Stacked Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass & Soft White

The Solmira is a 670mm alabaster table lamp built around a stacked column of natural Spanish alabaster, set on a polished brass disc base and topped with a warm-toned 400mm drum shade. The alabaster column is composed of irregular stone segments arranged in a stepped formation, each block showing its own veining and tonal variation. A single E27 lamp socket sits inside the shade (bulb sold separately).

Designed for sideboards, console tables and bedside positions where a piece of presence is wanted alongside the light, the Solmira works as much as a sculptural object as a lamp. The 400mm shade diameter projects a wide pool of soft light suited to ambient and reading use in living rooms and bedrooms. A standard inline cable allows it to be placed on any surface within reach of a switched socket, and the lamp pairs with smart plugs for remote or scheduled control.

The stacked alabaster construction gives the column a tactile, layered character. Light catches the irregular edges of each block and picks up the mineral veining within the stone, while the brass top fitting and base disc draw a clean line above and below the column. The combined alabaster and metal build gives the lamp a substantial planted feel on the surface it sits on, and the warm brass tones pair comfortably with both neutral interiors and warmer earth-tone palettes.

What bulb does the Solmira take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most buyers pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to match the soft tone of the shade and the warmth of the alabaster.

Does each lamp look the same?

No. Each alabaster segment is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual lamps. The stacked arrangement also means the irregular edges of each block sit slightly differently from piece to piece. This is a feature of the natural material.

Is the lamp dimmable?

The Solmira accepts any standard E27 bulb, so dimming depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer it is paired with. A dimmable LED bulb on a compatible LED dimmer plug or wall dimmer will give smooth control of brightness.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone, as moisture and oils can mark the surface.
