Solvane LED Petal Alabaster Chandelier 800mm - Brushed Brass

The Solvane is an 800mm circular chandelier built from two stacked rings of hand-carved natural Spanish alabaster petals, supported on a brushed brass frame and suspended from a matching brass ceiling canopy by fine steel cables. The integrated LED runs around the inner brass ring at 3000K on 230V mains, casting warm light outwards through the alabaster so each petal glows from within rather than being lit from a single central source.

At 800mm in diameter and 600mm tall, this medium scale suits dining tables of 1.6-2.2m, kitchen islands, large entrance halls and double-height stairwells. Hung 700-800mm above a dining table or 750-900mm above an island, the two-tier petal arrangement throws light both downwards onto the surface and outwards across the room. The brushed brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the suspension cables can be shortened on installation to suit the ceiling height.

Each petal is cut from solid alabaster and honed rather than polished, leaving the natural veining, mineral clouding and tonal variation visible across the surface. The petals are slightly irregular in outline and thickness, with overlapping edges that create layered shadow when the LED is on and a sculptural pale-stone profile when it's off. Brass studs fix each petal individually to the frame, so the alabaster carries the visual weight while the brass structure stays restrained.

The combination of two complete petal rings gives the Solvane more presence than a single-tier ring of similar diameter, making it suited to rooms where the chandelier needs to read as a defined object rather than a thin halo. The warm brass tone of the frame and canopy pairs with both pale neutral interiors and darker, warmer schemes.

What size room does the Solvane suit?

At 800mm diameter the Solvane is sized for medium to large rooms: dining tables of 1.6-2.2m, kitchen islands, larger entrance halls and stairwells. Ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher give the two-tier ring room to read properly, though the suspension cables can be shortened for lower ceilings.

Does each piece of alabaster look the same?

No. Each petal is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral clouding, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual petals and between chandeliers. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a manufacturing inconsistency.

Is the integrated LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the brass ring rather than being a swappable bulb. The 2-year warranty covers the LED for the warranty period; please contact us before installation if you have specific dimmer or driver requirements.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Dust gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on the petals or the brass frame.
