Solvyn LED Small Globe Alabaster Table Lamp - Soft White

The Solvyn is a compact 230mm-tall table lamp built from two solid stone elements: a 150mm globe carved from natural Spanish alabaster sitting on a domed marble base, separated by a slim brass collar. An integrated 5W LED at 3000K is concealed inside the globe, lighting the alabaster from within so the stone itself becomes the diffuser.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables, shelving and side tables where ambient light matters more than task brightness, the Solvyn works well in pairs flanking a bed or sofa. The small footprint (150mm at the widest point) suits narrow surfaces, and the warm 3000K colour temperature pairs comfortably with both painted and timber furniture. The fitting runs on standard 230V UK mains via a discreet inline cable.

Each alabaster globe shows different veining patterns, mineral inclusions and tonal shifts depending on the section of stone it was cut from. When the lamp is on, the variation in density across the sphere produces uneven translucency — denser areas glow softer, thinner sections pass more light — which gives the lit globe a subtle depth no printed or moulded shade can replicate. The marble base carries its own veining in warmer cream and ivory tones, grounding the brighter alabaster above.

Does the Solvyn come with a bulb?

Yes. The 5W LED is integrated inside the alabaster globe and is not user-replaceable. The bulb runs at 3000K (warm white) on standard 230V mains, so no separate bulb purchase is needed.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED is rated at 5W on 230V. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model in use — please contact us before pairing the Solvyn with an external dimmer to confirm.

Does each lamp look the same?

No. The alabaster globe and marble base are cut from natural stone, so veining, colouring and translucency vary between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and is most visible when the lamp is switched on.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on either the globe or the marble base.
