Solyra 15 Light 3 Tier Petal Alabaster Chandelier - Soft White

The Solyra is a 600mm three-tier chandelier built from carved natural Spanish alabaster discs arranged in concentric rings on a brushed brass frame. Fifteen E14 lamp holders sit within the structure, lighting the petals from the inside so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. The fitting suspends from a brushed brass chain and rectangular canopy, and measures 550mm in height before the chain drop is added.

Sized for dining rooms, larger entrance halls, double-height stairwells and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Solyra works as the primary decorative ceiling fitting in a room. Above a dining table the bottom of the chandelier typically sits 750-850mm clear of the surface, giving full view of the tiered petal silhouette without obstructing sightlines across the table. The chain length is adjustable on installation to suit higher ceilings.

Each alabaster disc is cut from natural stone, so the veining, cloudy mineral patterning and translucency vary across the petals. Lit, this variation reads as soft tonal movement through the tiers rather than a uniform white glow. The brushed brass frame is visible between and behind the discs, with small brass pin fixings holding each petal at the top edge so the lower curve hangs free. The combined alabaster and solid brass construction gives the chandelier a substantial physical presence appropriate to its 600mm diameter.

What bulbs does the Solyra take?

The chandelier uses 15 x E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair it with warm-white LED candle bulbs around 4-5W and 2700K-3000K to bring out the warmth in the alabaster. Check the maximum wattage per lamp on the fitting label before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The body of the chandelier is 550mm tall, with additional drop from the chain. It suits ceilings of 2.6m or higher, and works particularly well above dining tables, in entrance halls and over stairwells where the tiered profile can be seen from below. The chain is adjustable on installation.

Do the alabaster petals vary between fittings?

Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, cloudiness and tonal variation differ between individual petals and between fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and is most visible when the chandelier is lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe each disc gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, which can stain or etch the stone. The brushed brass frame can be dusted with the same cloth.
