Solyra 21 Light 5 Tier Petal Alabaster Chandelier - Soft White

The Solyra is a 900mm tiered chandelier built from overlapping discs of natural Spanish alabaster, arranged across five descending tiers on a brushed brass frame. Twenty-one E14 lamp holders sit inside the cage of petals, casting light outwards through the stone so that each disc glows individually rather than acting as a single large diffuser. Overall fitting height is 800mm, with additional drop from the brass chain and ceiling canopy.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, large dining rooms, formal living rooms and stairwells, the Solyra works best where the full 900mm diameter and tiered profile can be read in the round from below. A minimum ceiling height of 3m is recommended so the lowest tier sits above eye line and the chandelier reads as a sculptural form rather than crowding the room. The chain is adjustable on installation to set the final drop.

Each alabaster disc is cut from natural stone, so the veining, mineral patterning and translucency vary from petal to petal. When the lamps are off the chandelier presents as a soft white tiered cluster against brass; when lit, the warm grey and amber veins inside the alabaster become visible through the translucent stone. The combined weight of 21 stone petals and the solid brass frame requires a ceiling fixing rated for chandelier loads.

What bulbs does the Solyra take?

The chandelier takes 21 x E14 (Small Edison Screw) lamps. Bulbs are sold separately. We recommend warm-white LED candle bulbs around 2700K-3000K to complement the natural warmth of the alabaster.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting body is 800mm tall and 900mm in diameter, with additional drop added by the chain. We recommend a minimum ceiling height of 3m so the chandelier hangs above eye line in entrance halls and dining rooms. Over a dining table, allow 750-850mm clearance between the lowest tier and the table surface.

Does the alabaster vary between petals?

Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ across the 21 petals on a single chandelier and between chandeliers. This is a characteristic of the natural stone, not a manufacturing defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe each disc with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays, polishes, glass cleaners or any chemical product, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
