Talmera Sculptural Alabaster Table Lamp - Soft White & Black

The Talmera is a 530mm sculptural alabaster table lamp built from three stacked forms of natural Spanish alabaster - a sphere on top, an oblate cushion in the middle and a domed cylinder at the base - set on a contrasting black plinth. A single G9 lamp socket sits inside the structure, and brass detailing is used internally to resolve the joints between each alabaster section.

Designed as a sculptural lamp first and a light source second, the Talmera suits console tables, sideboards, low shelving runs and bedside positions where a 530mm-tall object can sit without crowding the surface. The 200mm diameter footprint keeps the base compact, and the G9 fitting produces a soft glow that travels through the stacked alabaster forms, lighting each one from within rather than projecting outward.

Each section of alabaster shows different mineral veining, with cooler grey tones in the upper sphere and warmer caramel banding visible in the lower dome. The stone is polished smooth on all curved surfaces, while the black base carries a fine horizontal ribbed texture that contrasts with the glassy alabaster above. Because the stone is natural, no two Talmera lamps share identical patterning or tonal balance.

What bulb does it take?

The Talmera uses a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED G9 between 2.5W and 4W at 2700K-3000K to keep the alabaster glow on the warm side and minimise heat inside the stone column.

Does each lamp look identical?

No. The three alabaster sections are cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, banding and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The natural variation is part of the material's character, not a fault.

Where does it suit?

At 530mm tall and 200mm in diameter, the Talmera sits comfortably on console tables, sideboards, sideboards behind a sofa, wider bedside tables and low shelving. It works as decorative and ambient lighting rather than as a reading or task lamp.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
