Universe LED Pendant Light - Matte Gold

The Universe is a 60cm sculptural pendant light built from two flat metal rings finished in matte gold, intersecting at an angle to suggest planetary orbits. An integrated 12W 3000K LED sits at the centre of the structure, with a frosted glass globe diffusing warm white light downward through the rings. The fixture hangs from multiple thin gold suspension cables that disappear against pale ceilings.

Designed for dining tables, lounge centrepieces and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Universe works as ambient and decorative lighting in one. The 60cm diameter suits tables of 1.4m or longer and reads as a sculptural object even when switched off. Total height of the metalwork is 24cm, with the suspension cables adjustable on installation to set the drop height.

The matte gold finish has a soft, low-sheen surface that picks up reflected light without glare, pairing with warm-toned interiors as well as cooler greys, off-whites and stone. The flat metal rings are deliberately thin in profile, so the fitting reads as graphic linework from below rather than a solid mass. The integrated LED removes the need to source bulbs and gives consistent 3000K colour temperature across the fitting.

Does the Universe come with a bulb?

Yes. The light source is an integrated 12W LED rated at 3000K (warm white), built into the fitting. There is no separate bulb to purchase or replace.

Is it dimmable?

Compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model in your circuit. Please contact us before pairing the Universe with a dimmer switch so we can confirm the LED driver is suitable.

What size table or room does it suit?

The 60cm diameter works well centred over dining tables of 1.4m length or longer, and as a centrepiece in living areas of around 4 x 4m or larger. Ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher allow the rings to be appreciated from below without feeling low.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The thin gold suspension cables are shortened on installation to set the final drop. Above a dining table the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the surface; in a lounge the drop is usually set higher to clear sightlines.
