Valora LED Vertical Alabaster Wall Light - Brushed Brass

The Valora is a 600mm vertical alabaster wall light built around a tall panel of natural Spanish alabaster, set within a brushed brass rectangular frame. An integrated 8W LED behind the stone casts warm 3000K light through the panel, turning the alabaster into the diffuser and revealing the mineral veining across the full 600mm height. Brass cleat fixings at the top and bottom hold the stone in place against the backplate.

The slim 45mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, which suits hallways, stairwells, en-suites and bedrooms where a deeper wall light would feel intrusive. The vertical 600mm x 127mm proportions work well flanking a bathroom mirror in pairs, framing a doorway, or marking a rhythm along a corridor when installed in a run. The 230V mains connection sits behind the backplate, hidden within the standard wall fixing.

Each alabaster panel is cut from a different section of stone, so the cloudy marbling and tonal variation differ between individual pieces — no two Valora lights look identical when lit. The combined alabaster and copper-cored brass frame give the fitting a substantial 3.64kg weight, requiring fixings appropriate to the wall substrate. The brushed finish on the brass softens reflections and pairs comfortably with both warm-toned interiors and cooler greys.

Can the Valora be used in a bathroom?

No IP rating is specified for this fitting, so it should not be installed within bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2. It can be used outside zoned areas in a well-ventilated en-suite, but for use near a bath or shower please choose a fitting with a confirmed IP44 or higher rating.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudy marbling and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. Buying a pair to flank a mirror or doorway means the two will look related but not identical — this is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED runs at 8W on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so please contact us before pairing the Valora with a dimmer circuit to confirm.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
