The Veliora is a 690mm framed alabaster table lamp built around four natural Spanish alabaster panels set into a slim brass lattice. The lantern-form base sits on a rectangular brass plinth and carries a tailored rectangular white PVC shade above, with a single E27 lamp socket at its centre. The brass uprights extend past the panel tops in subtle pagoda-style brackets, giving the lamp an architectural profile measuring 400mm long by 200mm wide.

Suited to console tables, sideboards and bedside cabinets where a taller table lamp is wanted, the Veliora pairs ambient and accent function. The alabaster panels glow gently when the E27 bulb is lit, while the upper shade casts directional light downward onto the surface below. The 400mm shade footprint works on consoles of 1.2m or longer and on bedside tables 450mm wide or greater.

Each alabaster panel shows different mineral veining and tonal variation, so the four faces of the lamp light up unevenly and reveal the natural character of the stone. The brass frame is finished in a warm satin tone that complements the pale alabaster and the off-white shade rather than competing with them. The 690mm overall height and rectangular footprint give the lamp a strong vertical presence without the bulk of a column or urn-form base.

What bulb does the Veliora take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the alabaster panels and gives a soft glow through the stone without overheating the enclosed frame.

Do the alabaster panels light up as well as the shade?

Yes. The E27 bulb sits within the framed alabaster base, so light passes through the natural stone panels on all four sides while the rectangular fabric shade above diffuses light downward onto the surface. Both elements glow when the lamp is switched on.

What size table does it suit?

At 690mm tall with a 400mm by 200mm base footprint, the Veliora suits console tables of 1.2m or longer, sideboards, and bedside cabinets at least 450mm wide. It's taller than a typical bedside lamp, so works well where a more architectural presence is wanted.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the panels gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, which can mark the stone. The brass frame can be dusted with the same dry cloth.
