Velisse LED Vertical Alabaster Wall Light - Soft White & Black

The Velisse is a 520mm vertical wall light built around a cylindrical column of natural Spanish alabaster, capped at the top and bottom with matt black metal fittings and small brass screws. An integrated 12W 3000K LED runs the length of the alabaster column, turning the stone itself into the diffuser and casting warm soft white light upwards and downwards along the wall.

At 520mm tall and 120mm wide, the Velisse suits hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and bathroom flanking installations either side of a mirror. The slim vertical profile takes up little wall space horizontally, making it a practical choice for narrow circulation areas where a wider sconce would feel cramped. The wall plate sits behind the alabaster column and is concealed once mounted, leaving a clean front profile.

Each alabaster cylinder shows different mineral veining and tonal clouding depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Velisse fittings light up the same way. The black metal end caps frame the stone without dominating it, and the small brass screws at the fixings add a quiet warm-metal accent. The combined alabaster and metal construction has a substantial physical presence without projecting far from the wall.

Does the Velisse come with a bulb?

Yes. The Velisse uses an integrated 12W LED rated at 3000K (warm soft white), so no separate bulb is needed. The LED is built into the fitting and is not user-replaceable.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

No IP rating is listed for the Velisse, so it should be treated as an interior fitting for general rooms rather than zoned bathroom installation. For bathroom mirror flanking, please contact us to confirm the correct IP-rated alternative for your zone.

Is the Velisse dimmable?

The integrated LED runs on standard 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
