Vellum LED Alabaster Column Floor Lamp - Brushed Brass

The Vellum is a 90cm alabaster column floor lamp built around a fluted cylinder of natural Spanish alabaster, set on a circular brushed brass base. An integrated 25W LED runs inside the 100mm-diameter stone column, casting warm 3000K light through the translucent alabaster so the column itself becomes the light source. Vertical fluting around the column adds linear definition and accentuates the natural veining when lit.

At 1000mm tall and 350mm across the base, the Vellum sits comfortably alongside a sofa, between an armchair and a console, or in an architectural niche where a vertical light element is wanted. As an integrated-LED floor lamp it plugs into a standard 13A socket and acts as ambient or accent lighting rather than directed task light, making it well-suited to living rooms, bedrooms and hotel-style lounges where soft column light is needed at floor level.

The column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so each piece shows different mineral veining and tonal variation. The brushed brass base provides weight and visual grounding without competing with the stone, and the brushed finish keeps reflections low. The combination of solid copper internals, alabaster column and brass base gives the lamp substance, while the slim 100mm stone diameter keeps the silhouette architectural rather than bulky.

Does the Vellum need a separate bulb?

No. The Vellum has an integrated 25W LED at 3000K built into the column, so no separate bulb is required. The LED is rated to run on 230V mains and the lamp connects via a standard UK plug.

Is the Vellum dimmable?

The integrated LED is fixed at 3000K warm white. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and inline dimming setup — please contact us before pairing with a plug-in or wall dimmer to confirm.

Will each lamp look the same?

No. Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral patterning and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This natural variation is a feature of the material, not a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the column gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, all of which can mark or stain the stone over time.
