Velorin LED Compact Alabaster Wall Light - Black & Brass

The Velorin Compact is a 500mm vertical wall light built around a slab of natural Spanish alabaster, partially shielded by a curved matt black metal panel with a slim brass strip running between the two materials. An integrated 12W LED at 3000K sits behind the assembly, washing the alabaster from within while the black shield directs a controlled vertical glow up and down the wall.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and either side of bathroom mirrors or vanity units, the slim 120mm width and 110mm projection keep the fitting close to the wall in tighter circulation spaces. The vertical 500mm format suits walls where a horizontal fitting would feel cramped, and pairs naturally either side of a doorway, headboard or feature panel as a matched pair.

The alabaster is cut as a flat backplate with softly rounded ends, set behind the curved black shield so the stone glows as a tall column of warm light at the edges of the fitting. Mineral veining and tonal variation in the alabaster differ between pieces, so two Velorin wall lights mounted side by side will not show identical patterns when lit. The brass strip catches reflected light from the LED and adds a thin warm accent line between the matt black metal and the pale stone.

Is the Velorin suitable for bathroom use?

No IP rating is specified for this fitting, so it should be installed outside bathroom zones. For mirror lighting in a bathroom, choose a wall light with a confirmed IP44 or higher rating.

Does it need a separate driver or transformer?

The integrated 12W LED runs from 230V mains, so no external transformer is needed. Any required driver is contained within the fitting and connects directly to standard UK mains wiring.

Will the alabaster look identical on a matched pair?

No. Each backplate is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral patterning and tonal variation differ between pieces. When two are mounted side by side, the stone will share an overall colour but show its own grain pattern in each fitting.

How is it mounted to the wall?

The Velorin is hard-wired to a mains supply behind the fitting, with mounting components concealed by the body of the light. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with UK wiring regulations.
