Virello 2 Light Compact Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass

The Virello is a compact 400mm alabaster table lamp built from two pieces of natural Spanish alabaster: a tapered column base and a 250mm drum shade held in place by a small square brass clip at the front and slim brass cradles at either side. Twin G9 sockets sit inside the shade, casting warm light outward through the stone and downward onto the surface below. A brass disc plinth lifts the column off the table.

At 400mm tall and 250mm wide, the Virello suits bedside tables, console tables behind a sofa, and side tables in reading corners where a fixed ceiling light would feel too bright. The two G9 lamps (sold separately) give roughly twice the output of a single-socket alabaster lamp at this size, so the Virello reads as a soft ambient source rather than purely decorative. The compact footprint fits bedside surfaces from 350mm deep upward.

Both the column and the drum shade are cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the cloud-like veining and tonal variation differ between individual lamps — the stone itself is the diffuser, not a printed or moulded substitute. The brass detailing is kept deliberately minimal: a square front clip, two side cradles holding the shade, and a thin disc base. This restraint keeps the focus on the stone and means the lamp pairs comfortably with both warm and cool interior palettes.

What bulbs does the Virello take?

The lamp uses two G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 lamps between 2700K and 3000K to complement the natural tone of the alabaster. Avoid running G9 lamps above the wattage limit specified on the lamp holder.

Does each piece of alabaster look the same?

No. Both the column base and the drum shade are cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, translucency and subtle tonal shifts vary between lamps. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and the variation is most visible once the lamp is switched on.
