Zarelli 24 Light Interlocking Panel Alabaster Chandelier - Soft White & Brass

The Zarelli is a 1000mm-diameter chandelier built from 24 rectangular panels of natural Spanish alabaster, arranged in an interlocking ring around a stainless steel frame finished in soft white and brass. Each panel sits at a slightly different height to create a serrated upper and lower edge, with a central vertical cluster dropping below the main ring. The fitting takes 24 x E14 bulbs (sold separately) and suspends from a 300mm brass rod beneath a circular brass canopy.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells, dining rooms with high ceilings, and large open-plan living spaces, the Zarelli works in rooms with a minimum ceiling height of around 3m to allow the 680mm fitting plus 300mm rod to hang clear of head height. The 1m diameter suits dining tables of 1.6m or larger, or open floor positions where the tiered silhouette can be viewed from multiple angles. Twenty-four E14 lamps spread the light source across the full diameter rather than concentrating it at the centre.

Each alabaster panel is cut from solid stone and shows different mineral veining, tonal variation and grey marbling depending on the section it was quarried from. The honed surface keeps the internal structure of the stone visible when the lamps are lit, so the panels read as opaque white during the day and become translucent diffusers in the evening. Brass studs fix each panel to the steel frame, adding small repeated metallic accents around the full circumference and reinforcing the dialogue between geometric metalwork and organic stone.

What bulbs does the Zarelli take?

The chandelier uses 24 x E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair this fitting with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 3-4W and 2700K-3000K to bring out the alabaster veining without overheating the stone.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting is 680mm tall with an additional 300mm rod and canopy, giving an overall drop of around 980mm. A minimum ceiling height of approximately 3m is recommended so the lowest tier hangs clear of head height in walking areas. For dining rooms or stairwells, the rod length can usually be adjusted on installation.

Why does the alabaster look different in each photo?

Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, grey marbling, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual panels and between fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and gives every Zarelli chandelier a unique pattern when lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the panels gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, as these can mark or dull the stone surface over time.
