Zolara Alabaster Disc & Column Table Lamp - Soft White

The Zolara is a 360mm-tall alabaster table lamp built from two solid blocks of natural Spanish alabaster: a cylindrical column base supporting a wide 380mm disc-shaped shade. A brushed brass fixing plate sits between column and disc, holding a single E27 lamp socket that lights both pieces of stone from within.

Designed for sideboards, console tables, hallway tables and bedroom dressers, the Zolara works as a low ambient light source rather than a directed reading lamp. The disc shade casts diffused light downward across the surface it sits on, while the column base glows from within to act as a second light source at floor-up height. The 380mm disc diameter suits surfaces 600mm deep or wider; the lamp's compact 360mm height keeps it under typical mirror or artwork above.

Both the column and the disc are cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual lamps. The soft white tone shows gentle warm and grey veining that becomes more visible when the lamp is lit, with light passing through the thinner sections of stone to reveal the mineral structure. The disc-and-column geometry is deliberately architectural, with no decorative detailing to compete with the stone itself.

What bulb does the Zolara take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-8W and 2700K-3000K is recommended to bring out the natural warmth in the alabaster veining without over-driving the stone with cool light.

Is it dimmable?

The Zolara has no integrated driver, so dimmability depends entirely on the E27 bulb fitted and the dimmer switch used. Pair a dimmable LED bulb with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer for smooth dimming.

Will the alabaster veining match the photograph?

Each Zolara is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining pattern, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual lamps. The photograph shows one representative example; your lamp will share the same soft white character but the markings will be unique to that piece of stone.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the stone and never apply household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
